Little Armory: M27/38 Type (LA098) - Plastic Model 1/12 (Reissue) [Tomytec]

Japanese Original Edition, Tomytec Little Armory Series

The M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle (IAR) is an enhanced variant of the HK416 selected by the United States Marine Corps as part of its Infantry Automatic Rifle program to identify a new squad support weapon.

The M27 was adopted to address some of the drawbacks associated with the heavier M249, including reduced mobility for the automatic rifleman and the tendency for machine gunners to become highly visible targets on the battlefield. By using a weapon based on the same platform as the standard service rifle while offering exceptional accuracy, the M27 allows greater flexibility and maneuverability within infantry units.
