The M60E3 is an improved version of the M60 general-purpose machine gun developed by the United States after
World War II. The M60 debuted meeting the requirements as a general-purpose machine gun, but various problems became apparent through actual combat.
The E3 version was developed to solve these problems. It
was made lighter and the handle and bipod position were improved, but it was eventually replaced by the more reliable M240 machine gun.
However, there were also those who appreciated its performance, and the Navy Special Forces SEALs and others continued to operate this machine even after the M240 was released.
Furthermore, its rugged design has gained popularity in the world of action movies, and it has added luster to masterpieces as a "big gun" operated by muscular actors.
This kit is a 1/12 scale model of the M60E3.
In addition to the gun itself, it comes with a soft resin belt link bullet.
A short barrel length is available.
