The Volkswagen Type 82E joins Tamiya’s 1/48 Military Miniature Series as a plastic model kit recreating the off-road military version of the famous Volkswagen Beetle used by German forces during World War II.

Developed as a military staff car, the Type 82E featured increased ground clearance and a durable rear-mounted air-cooled engine, giving it improved performance on rough terrain. The model reproduces its distinctive rounded body, raised suspension, underbody details, and off-road tires, while also including a German soldier driver figure. Three marking options are provided for German Army, government agency, and civilian vehicles.
