The KAN NEXT Shiranui & Akigumo 2-Ship Set, complete with photo-etched detail parts, makes its long-awaited return! 

The kit recreates the Kagerō-class destroyers Shiranui (2nd ship of the class) and Akigumo (19th ship) as they appeared from the outbreak of the war through 1942 (Showa 17).
The main parts are molded in a slightly bright gray representing the Maizuru Naval Arsenal color.

A dedicated mold is used for the hull, differing from the late-war version in which the portholes were sealed.
The forward bridge section features no added machine-gun platform, and the linoleum deck is reproduced with exclusive parts.
The 25 mm AA guns located near the funnel are depicted as twin mounts, representing the configuration before they were upgraded to triple mounts.
The aft deck, where depth charges were installed, is reproduced in its pre-modification state using dedicated components.
As radar had not yet been developed during this period, both the fore and aft masts are represented without radar equipment using exclusive parts.

Pre-cut, highly adhesive stickers are included, allowing detailed color separation without painting.
Stickers cover elements such as the gun barrel canvas, lifebuoys, and the inside of cutters.
For users who prefer painting, a decal sheet is included featuring items such as the linoleum flooring on the aft bridge and lifebuoy markings.

The set contains photo-etched parts for both ships, enabling the reproduction of extremely fine details that are difficult to achieve with plastic alone.
These photo-etched parts include railings, ladders, lifebuoys, funnel caps, boat davits, skid beams, and flagpoles.
