The redesigned main gun featured a large, angular shape unlike previous Japanese tanks, while the welded hull—with fewer rivets—gave the vehicle a clean, streamlined appearance.

This kit recreates the Chi-Nu Long Barrel in stylized form, featuring molded parts inspired by the late-war three-tone camouflage scheme. The base plastic is a grass-green shade, while the dried-grass and earth-tone camo patterns are reproduced using pre-cut realistic stickers. For builders who prefer painting, the included decals provide vehicle numbers and markings from units such as the 11th Tank Regiment, Navy Land Forces, 9th Tank Regiment, and Chiba Tank School.
