The 1/700 Imperial Japanese Navy Battleship Yamato (Operation Ten-Ichi-Go / 1945) Plastic Model by Fujimi is a detailed representation of the legendary battleship as it appeared during its final mission in April 1945.

Designed in 1/700 scale, the model includes a realistic ocean surface base that captures the wake created by the bow, sides, and propellers. The base is made of clear blue plastic, adding an authentic touch to the sailing display.

The kit features two types of aircraft, molded in a special dark green color:

• One Zero-type (three-seat) reconnaissance seaplane
• One Zero-type observation seaplane

Additional details include concavely engraved panel lines and a precisely molded aircraft propeller using a slide mold for accuracy.

The exhibition sea surface base measures 396mm in length, 134mm in width, and approximately 17mm in height, accurately reflecting the Yamato-class waterline shape. It reproduces waves spreading from the bow, the disturbed water along the ship’s sides, and the turbulence created by the propeller. The bow section includes three 1mm thick paper spacers to adjust height.

For added realism, pre-cut stickers with excellent adhesion allow for detailed painting effects without intricate masking. These include:

• Waterproof canvas for the main and secondary guns
• Walkway behind the No. 3 main gun
• Naval ensign and Japanese flag markings
• The Kikusui emblem near the chimney and the last command flag of Vice Admiral Seiichi Ito

Bonus parts are provided for enhanced detailing, including 78 machine gun ammunition boxes, a mast support, and an antenna support for the secondary gun canopy.

With its historically accurate design, dynamic waterline display, and optional precision parts, this Fujimi model is a great addition for naval history enthusiasts and scale model collectors.
