From Fujimi comes the JGSDF Type 89 Armored Fighting Vehicle, now available for the first  time as a 1/72 scale precision plastic model kit. This set includes two units and faithfully captures the structure and detailing of Japan’s modern infantry fighting vehicle in compact scale. Despite its small size, the model features exceptional realism and ease of assembly, requiring no adhesive thanks to its slide-molded and snap-fit design.

The hull and turret are intricately designed, with separately molded hatches, gun barrels, periscopes, and vents for added depth and flexibility. Builders can choose between open or closed configurations for several components, such as hatches and gun ports, and adjust features like the barrel elevation and missile launcher angle. Clear parts are used for headlights and periscopes, while the surface includes precisely engraved weld seams, panel lines, and non-slip textures for a realistic finish.

The kit also includes two decal sheets featuring detailed unit markings, serial numbers, and insignias for multiple JGSDF divisions, as well as maintenance plates and equipment labels. Molded in gray and clear colors, the finished model measures approximately 9.5 cm long, 4.5 cm wide, and 3.9 cm tall (excluding mirrors and sensors).
