This kit allows builders to choose from three configurations of the Myoko, the lead ship of her class—depicting her as she appeared during the start of the Pacific War (1941), the Battle of the Philippine Sea (1943–1944), or the Battle of Leyte Gulf (October 1944).

The hull is molded as a single left-right integrated piece, ensuring superior alignment and stability compared to traditional multi-part assemblies. The upper deck is a single piece as well, with the forward and shelter deck sections provided separately, while the aft section is molded together with the hull.

Decals include naval flags and aircraft markings, and the included photo-etched parts capture intricate details that standard injection molding cannot reproduce—ideal for advanced modelers seeking higher precision.
