Fujimi’s 1/3000 Naval Port Series brings the historic Kure Naval Port to life as seen in the film In This Corner Of The World, now in a special edition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the war’s end. This set recreates both the northern section of Kure Naval Arsenal — including the No. 3 and No. 4 docks and the Yamato construction dock — and the warships featured in the movie. The layout even includes the blast wall area where the character Harumi tragically loses her life, highlighting the proximity of the events depicted.

The included warships are Yamato, Haruna, Ryūhō, Aoba, and Unryū, all molded in warship grey or light green camouflage color. Notable details include Yamato’s 1944 arrival in Kure and her 1945 Tokuyama staging for the Okinawa mission, Haruna and Ryūhō under attack during the March 1945 air raids, and Aoba returning from Manila with Unryū moored nearby. Hulls are snap-fit and require no glue, with camouflage patterns for Ryūhō, Unryū, and Amagi provided as decals for easy finishing.

The box art features the iconic “Yamato returns to port” scene from the film, making this kit a collector’s piece as well as a model. It also comes with a special instruction booklet containing background on the movie scenes, plus two exclusive postcards printed with film illustrations.
