Fine Molds presents a 1/35 scale plastic model of the Type 4 Medium Tank (Mass Production Model), a “what-if” design based on production plans developed by the Imperial Japanese Army at the end of World War II.

While only two Type 4 prototypes were completed and tested by the war’s end, plans were already underway for a revised mass production version. This version featured a redesigned upper hull optimized for manufacturability and utilized the same turret as the Type 3 medium tank, equipped with a long-barreled 75mm gun.

This kit faithfully recreates that hypothetical production version based on surviving technical drawings, offering modelers a rare glimpse at what could have been Japan’s next main battle tank.
