Fine Molds presents a 1/35 scale plastic model of the Type 1 Medium Tank "Chi-He," developed as the Imperial Japanese Army’s next-generation main battle tank following the Type 97 Chi-Ha.

Based on the Chi-Ha chassis, the Chi-He featured a range of improvements: welded construction replaced many of the riveted sections, armor thickness was increased from 25mm to 50mm, and engine output was boosted from 170 horsepower to 240 horsepower. It was also equipped with the upgraded Type 1 47mm tank gun, providing greater firepower against enemy armor.

This kit includes a glue-together plastic track system that allows for realistic sag effects. The main gun is replicated down to the breech for added detail. Seven marking options are included for tanks deployed within Japan. The model is the result of meticulous research, faithfully reflected in both the kit and its included guide.
