From Fine Molds comes a 1/700 scale plastic model set of the Yukikaze, the legendary Kagero-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy, featuring an extensive selection of hyper-detailed parts from the Nano-Dread series to recreate her appearance after the 1944 Battle of Leyte Gulf.

Yukikaze was the eighth ship of the 18-strong Kagero class and entered service in 1940. While many of her sister ships were lost during World War II, Yukikaze survived nearly unscathed despite participating in numerous fierce operations across the Pacific. Her miraculous survival even from the infamous Battle of Okinawa, where she escorted the battleship Yamato, earned her the nickname “the lucky ship.” After the war, she was used for repatriation duties and was later transferred to the Republic of China Navy, marking a storied career.

This special set includes a variety of newly molded and photo-etched parts that enhance the model’s realism and make it easy to build using standard plastic model glue and paints. It’s an efficient, value-packed upgrade compared to purchasing individual detailing parts separately.
