From Fujimi’s 1/350 Ship Series, the Imperial Japanese Navy Battleship Hyuga makes its striking debut in a special production version, featuring detailed crew figures to add movement and life to your display. This model is based on the ship during the Operation Sho-Ichi in October 1944.

The battleship is meticulously designed, with several distinct features that set it apart from the Ise-class ships. These include specialized four-part turret covers for the main guns, large windbreakers on the bridge, and distinct differences in the superstructure and lookout tower, which are represented as separate parts. The model also includes the unique shapes of the gun mounts, including a triple-mount machine gun near the superstructure and another one near the rear bridge, both having distinct shapes compared to the Ise.

The rear mast and cross-tree are also uniquely represented, with differences in shape from the Ise class. The rocket-launcher-equipped sponson is longer at the rear and has a significantly different structure from the Ise, faithfully recreated with separate parts. The model includes five 11/12 modified aircraft to represent the planes that the Hyuga carried as a mother ship in May 1944, as well as dedicated racks for holding the planes on the flight deck.

Additionally, this kit includes 353 unpainted crew figures, featuring officers and sailors in both summer and winter uniforms. These figures can be posed in 11 different ways, including standing, saluting, walking, operating anti-aircraft guns and machine guns, peering through binoculars, and carrying ammunition, allowing for dynamic and varied displays.
