In Initial D, Wataru Akiyama drives the Toyota Corolla Levin GT-APEX, model AE86, a high-performance version of the 1980s Corolla. This rear-wheel-drive car, known for its light weight and superb handling, features a naturally aspirated 1.6L inline-4 engine (4A-GE). It's a counterpart to the more famous AE86 Trueno, driven by Takumi Fujiwara, and like the Trueno, the Levin is revered in the drifting world for its balance, reliability, and potential for modifications. Wataru's AE86 in the series reflects the spirit of grassroots racing and precision driving.

With a four-wheel independent stepless height adjustment mechanism and a four-wheel independent stepless camber adjustment system, you can freely set the styling to your preference—whether it's normal height, low-rider, or racer with a negative camber look. The suspension's independent extension and compression on all four wheels allow for dynamic diorama creation, capturing realistic movements like braking (front compression/rear extension) or cornering (inner compression/outer extension). This adjustable gimmick ensures long-lasting enjoyment even after completion. Newly designed suspension parts are included, alongside metal pipes for the sports muffler and etched parts to replicate the disc brakes. The decals feature logo marks and license plates for added detail.
