The battleship *Musashi*, the second vessel of the Yamato-class, symbolizes the might of the Japanese Navy and was equipped with the world’s largest 46 cm guns. *Musashi* was completed in August 1942, following in the footsteps of her sister ship, the legendary *Yamato*. In October, radar systems under development at the time were installed on the ship. As tensions escalated in the Solomon Islands, *Musashi* advanced to Truk Island, where she stood proudly alongside *Yamato*. By June 1943, *Musashi* had become the flagship of the Combined Fleet, flying the admiral’s flag. Later, modifications were made to strengthen her anti-aircraft defenses, including the removal of secondary guns on both sides of the ship, preparing her for critical battles such as the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. The model is designed to recreate two specific periods: August to September 1942 and September 1942 to April 1944, showcasing *Musashi* at different stages of her evolution.
