Although it never appeared in the series, this is an armored Valkyrie variation other than the widely known VF-1J that was commercially released at the time. The world of The Super Dimension Fortress Macross allowed for such variant machines to exist with a sense of realism.

This special edition comes with armored parts featuring the color scheme of the VF-1S as displayed at TAMASHII NATION 2020.
