Akira: Remix - Limited Edition (2-Disc Set) [Vinyl LP]

Japanese Original Edition, Brand New Vinyl Record

Celebrate the legacy of Akira with the Akira: Remix – Limited Edition Vinyl (2-Disc Set), a bold reinterpretation of one of anime’s most iconic soundscapes. Originally produced as a CD in August 2024 by Katsuhiro Otomo himself, this analog vinyl release brings the remixed tracks to life with renewed warmth and depth.

Remixed by a trio of musical legends—Makoto Kubota, Yasuharu Konishi, and Tsutomu Ōhashi (Shoji Yamashiro)—the tracks offer fresh takes on the groundbreaking compositions that defined the atmosphere of Akira. From haunting ambient layers to vibrant rhythmic reinterpretations, each remix pays homage to the original score while charting new sonic territory.

The packaging and artwork are fully produced by Akira creator Katsuhiro Otomo, making this vinyl set a rare and essential collector’s item for fans of the film, its music, and Japanese pop culture history.
