"Chrono Cross," the PlayStation game released as a sequel to the ever-popular "Chrono Trigger," which ranked first in Famitsu Weekly's "Best Game of the Heisei Era" poll, continues to enjoy enduring popularity. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of "Chrono Cross," a Blu-ray capturing the final performance of the Chrono Cross Live Tour, held at Nakano Sunplaza on January 25, 2020, has been released. Directed by Yasunori Mitsuda, the game's composer, the tour saw tickets for the Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka shows sell out immediately, leading to additional performances in Taiwan and two extra days at Nakano Sunplaza, drawing over 7,500 attendees in just six days. More than 250 passionate fans from abroad also attended, adding to the excitement. The footage from the live-streamed tour finale has been further edited, with the audio mixed and mastered in 5.1-channel surround sound for an enhanced experience. The Blu-ray features a massive 31 tracks spanning 185 minutes, recorded without any cuts from the start of the show to its conclusion. Additionally, an audio commentary by Mitsuda and key staff members offers behind-the-scenes insights. English subtitles are available for international fans.
