Transformers: Twincast & Rewind (MPG-27) [Takara Tomy]

Japanese Original Edition, Takara Tomy Transformers

Powered up with technology from Master, Twincast and his cassette-bot teammate Rewind join the MPG series, with Twincast transforming from a radio cassette recorder into robot mode and Rewind converting from cassette tape form into a humanoid robot.

Twincast’s enlarged chest, reflecting his powered-up appearance, is recreated with newly developed parts. The figure can also transform into the Alternate Transformation Mode previously shown by Broadcast, with articulated legs that allow walking-style poses in this configuration. Pressing the switch on Twincast’s abdomen opens the chest compartment, which can store Rewind in cassette mode as well as compatible cassette-bots from the separately sold MPG-24 Eject & Amhorn and MPG-25 Broadcast & Steeljaw sets, with space for up to two cassette tapes.

The set includes an Electroslangler Gun for Twincast and an adhesive gun for Rewind, along with a monitor panel that can be installed inside Twincast’s chest. Two megaphones can be attached to Twincast’s arms, while the included sound-wave-inspired effect parts can be used with either the device mode or the megaphones. An interchangeable smiling head is also included, and Rewind can be stored inside the included barrier case while in cassette mode.
