Transformers: Missing Link - Cybertron Hero Set (C-09) [Takara Tomy]

Transformers: Missing Link - C-09 Cybertron Hero Set [Takara Tomy]

Lost dreams connect across time in the Missing Link series—Takara Tomy's retro-modern revival line that imagines what could have been. The ninth release in the series, the C-09 Cybertron Hero Set, brings together Bumble (Anime Version) and Cliff (Anime Version) in one nostalgic yet newly engineered bundle.

Both figures feature updated parts and anime-style color schemes, reimagining the earlier 2024 releases (C-03 Bumble and C-04 Cliff) with enhanced screen accuracy. Bumble receives a newly sculpted head to better reflect his animated look, along with a switch from opaque black to clear blue window parts, adding visual depth and detail. Despite their retro aesthetics, both figures retain modern articulation and partial die-cast construction for robust poseability and presence.

Bumble transforms into a licensed Volkswagen Beetle with Takara Tomy officially securing the rights from Volkswagen. He comes equipped with a laser gun that can be stored inside his vehicle mode. Cliff transforms into a compact car and includes a photon rifle and his memorable bazooka cannon from the anime—both stowable when in car mode.

Each robot stands approximately 76 mm tall and features the classic "secret emblem" heat-sensitive faction symbol on the body. A port on the back allows for optional stand display (sold separately). Rounding out the package are two collectible cards illustrated in a retro style, echoing the series’ 1980s roots.
