Star Wars: Wampa - Designers Toy [Hot Toys / Sideshow]

Japanese Original Edition, Hot Toys Figure

From Star Wars, the Wampa is reimagined by renowned American toy designer and artist James Groman as a Sideshow designer toy, bringing his distinctive creature-focused style to an approximately 30 cm tall vinyl figure.

Active in the toy industry since the 1980s, James Groman is known for his work across illustration, design, and sculpting, and was one of the original designers behind Madballs. His distinctive aesthetic blends dinosaurs, kaiju, monsters, 1980s toy culture, pop culture, horror, and science fiction into uniquely grotesque creature designs.

This interpretation of the Wampa combines Groman’s artistic style with recognizable elements of the original creature, including its dirty white fur, sharp claws and teeth, and the Tauntaun skull and spine held in its right hand. The shoulders are articulated, allowing the arms to be raised or lowered for different display poses.
