Movie Masterpiece: Star Wars Episode 1 - Jar Jar Binks 1/6 [Hot Toys]

Japanese Original Edition, Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Figure

The legendary sci-fi saga Star Wars continues its legacy in the Hot Toys "Movie Masterpiece" series—now featuring none other than Jar Jar Binks from Episode I: The Phantom Menace!

A Gungan from the underwater city of Orto Gunga on Naboo, Jar Jar Binks was banished due to his clumsy but well-meaning nature. After a fateful encounter with Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jar Jar accompanied them on a journey across planets including Tatooine and Coruscant, ultimately playing a pivotal role in forming the alliance between the Gungans and the Naboo in their battle against the Trade Federation.

This 1/6 scale figure stands approximately 33 cm tall and features over 20 points of articulation, offering a detailed and expressive portrayal of this iconic character. The newly sculpted head captures Jar Jar’s distinctive features, including his long, drooping ears and beak-like mouth, with fine hand-painted detailing that replicates the texture and wrinkles of his skin.

The figure includes interchangeable facial parts, allowing you to display him with either an open or closed mouth. The open-mouth expression also includes a removable tongue. Combined with interchangeable eye parts, you can recreate a wide range of animated expressions unique to Jar Jar's character. The seamless base body features hidden arm joints for a clean, natural appearance.

His outfit, made of carefully tailored brown fabric, is crafted with precise attention to texture and screen accuracy. Also included is his signature weapon, the Booma, along with a selection of interchangeable hands for dynamic posing. The figure comes with a diorama-style base replicating the sandy terrain of Naboo, completing the display.

Though often known as the most divisive character in Star Wars history, Jar Jar Binks is undeniably unique, memorable, and—yes—lovable. This figure stands as the definitive edition that fully captures his charm and animated presence.

Another proud entry in Hot Toys' ever-expanding Star Wars 1/6 scale collection—this is one release fans won't want to miss. Stay tuned for more from a galaxy far, far away.
