Movie Masterpiece: Star Wars - Darth Sidious, Palpatine 1/6 [Hot Toys]

Japanese Original Edition, Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Figure

Hot Toys’ "Movie Masterpiece" series proudly welcomes a pivotal figure from the sci-fi epic Star Wars — introducing Sheev Palpatine (Darth Sidious) from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith!

A master of manipulation and a devoted follower of the dark side of the Force, Palpatine maintained a public persona as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic while secretly orchestrating its downfall. Through careful deception, he turned Anakin Skywalker against the Jedi and into Darth Vader, his fearsome Sith apprentice.

Now, this iconic character is brought to life as a high-end 1/6 scale figure, standing approximately 29 cm tall with over 30 points of articulation. Two head sculpts are included, both officially approved to reflect Ian McDiarmid’s likeness. One shows Palpatine’s composed, manipulative expression, while the other captures Darth Sidious in his terrifying, twisted form following his duel with Mace Windu. Both heads feature a movable eyeball gimmick, allowing you to shift the gaze freely and add a lifelike intensity to each pose.

Palpatine’s crimson robes are finely tailored with layered textures and detailed stitching, while the removable black outer cloak includes a built-in wire for dynamic positioning. As for weaponry, a red lightsaber is included in two versions: one with a USB-powered LED light-up blade, and one standard version for display or belt attachment. The interchangeable blade parts let you recreate motion mid-swing.

A wide array of interchangeable hands is also included, featuring Force lightning effects and expressive gestures to reenact some of the most powerful and sinister moments from the film. The figure comes with a specially designed circular base, complete with a textured floor to enhance its presence on display.

With his true identity as a Dark Lord of the Sith revealed, Palpatine’s descent into full-blown darkness is captured in stunning detail. This figure stands as the definitive edition of Darth Sidious — a must-have piece for collectors looking to experience the power and menace of one of the galaxy’s most iconic villains.
