 The 123 series electric train is a suburban-type train converted from luggage trains that were active during the JNR era, tailored for use on local lines. Among these, the 600 models were introduced by JR Tokai in 1988 through the modification of the Kumoya 145-601 and 602. Primarily, it served for section transport between Fuji and Nishi-Fujinomiya on the Minobu Line, but it also saw service on the Tokaido Line in the Shizuoka area, handling trains between Kozusaguchi and Kofu, as well as vehicle transfers, serving the entire line, and entering and leaving the depot. Until its retirement in 2007, it operated alongside the 123 series 5040s and the 115 series 2000s. In its final days, it was also seen alongside the 373 series and the 313 series. This time, we're introducing a set of two cars of the 123 series 600s, featuring JR Tokai's standard ivory with orange and green bands and equipped with the C-AU711 type cooler.
