Twelve years have passed since the second Huffman conflict, and the People's Republic of Alordesh has suffered a deep economic decline. In June 2102, Alordesh soldiers rise up under the leadership of Ven Mackarage and declare independence from the O.C.U. (Oceania Cooperative Union).

Ash, an O.C.U. soldier, survives the initial assault, but soon finds himself caught in a battle to escape Alordesh, now controlled by the Revolutionary Army. As Ash and his comrades navigate the chaotic underground, they uncover a massive conspiracy behind the rebellion.

In FRONT MISSION 2, the story shifts between three characters: Ash, Lisa, and Thomas, offering a complex narrative that transcends traditional ideas of good and evil.
