Introducing Tyrolean Jäger Regiment Figure, inspired by the historic Imperial and Royal Army of Austria-Hungary, faithfully representing one of its distinguished light infantry units.

The Imperial Rifle Regiments, formally known as the Tiroler Jäger-Regimenter or Tyrolean Rifle Regiments, were established in 1895 as part of the Austro-Hungarian Army, organized into four standard infantry regiments. Despite their name, these units were not limited to recruits from the Tyrol region, but drew soldiers from across the empire. Following the tradition of the Prussian military, light infantry units were referred to as “Jäger,” emphasizing their role as agile and skilled riflemen.

During World War I, these regiments were primarily deployed on the Eastern Front, engaging Russian forces in the battles of Galicia and along the Carpathian front. They later saw action on the Italian Front, where they continued to demonstrate their effectiveness in challenging terrain. The unit remained active until its disbandment in 1918, marking the end of its service alongside the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
