One Piece by Eiichiro Oda is a Japanese manga series that he created and drew.

It has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 22, 1997, and has been collected in 94 tankōbon volumes.

The history of One Piece

The story follows Monkey D. Luffy, a young boy who has acquired the ability to turn his body into a weapon and an organ that allows him to expand like rubber after eating a "devil fruit." With his pirate crew, called the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the ocean in search of the world's ultimate treasure, known as "One Piece," in order to become the next king of pirates.

Toei Animation produced the series which was first broadcast in Japan on Fuji Television on October 20, 1999. Since then, the series, which is still running, has aired more than 700 episodes and has been exported to various countries around the world.
