Yu is a young boy raised in a shrine nestled in the mountains outside Kuzuwa City. One day, he is invited by his childhood friend, the mischievous black fox, to attend the winter festival. Amidst the glowing lanterns and playful shadows, Yu experiences the outside world for the first time, and during this journey, he encounters another boy from a distant past.

As Yu returns to the mountains, the Shrine's Lord (Nushi) delivers a mysterious command: "Prepare your meal!"

Originally released as "Akayayaya Akashiya Akakushi," this beloved PC game by HaccaWorks* marked its second installment. In 2014, it was re-released for the PSP with full voice acting, added content, and new endings, bringing a refreshed narrative experience. Now, this treasured game comes to the Nintendo Switch, preserving the PSP version’s content while offering an even more accessible and enhanced gameplay experience.
