UNDERGROUNDED is a puzzle adventure game that sends Scott, a young man from Manhattan, into a strange underground maze formed from layers of American history and culture as he searches for a lost ring following a failed marriage proposal.

Exploration and puzzle-solving are intertwined with the power of retro video games inspired by classic arcade titles, which can alter the dungeon and help Scott overcome obstacles and confront its bosses. As he travels deeper underground, nostalgic American landscapes and encounters with other lost individuals gradually reveal a story centered on recovering things that have been lost.
