Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic - The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil reimagines the 2002 Touhou Project classic with newly redrawn pixel art, high-resolution presentation, and a complete soundtrack rearranged by ZUN. Players take control of Reimu Hakurei or Marisa Kirisame as they confront the mysterious incident engulfing Gensokyo, weaving through dense patterns of bullets in classic vertical shoot-'em-up action.

Alongside the modernized presentation, the game introduces an additional mode that allows players to challenge its elaborate danmaku patterns with unlimited lives, making the experience more approachable while retaining the series’ distinctive bullet-hell identity.
