Kininkomaroku ONI kara ONI V: Innin o Tsugumono brings together the five Game Boy entries of the classic ONI series in a single Nintendo Switch package, reviving a distinctive line of Japanese-style RPGs originally released throughout the 1990s. The collection follows different heroes across interconnected stories steeped in Japanese folklore, with yokai, oni, ninja, swordsmen, and other supernatural figures shaping its world.

A defining feature of the series is the Tenshin transformation system, which allows protagonists to awaken hidden powers and transform into otherworldly forms with altered abilities. The collection preserves the original game content while adding modern conveniences such as save/load anywhere, rewind, and adjustable game speed, making these five connected adventures easier to revisit on modern hardware.
