Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark is a gothic 2D Metroidvania adventure starring the demon maid sisters Kirika and Masha, who set out across the Demon Realm after their master, Demon Lord Maxim, is defeated and his castle is destroyed by a rival lord.

Players can switch freely between the two sisters, using Kirika’s ranged demonic firearms and Masha’s close-range whip attacks to explore interconnected areas, uncover hidden routes, defeat bosses, and recover the scattered remains needed to restore Maxim and rebuild his castle. The adventure expands the formula of the previous Gal Guardians title into a full Metroidvania experience with character upgrades, collectible equipment, and exploration-focused progression.
