Set in West Germany in 1981, the story follows 18-year-old Noah, who struggles with painful childhood memories while living with his father, Leonardo, a failed writer obsessed with researching the enigmatic figure known only as "Dictator X." Despite their worsening financial situation, Leonardo refuses to abandon his investigation. When he receives an invitation to a mysterious auction centered around artifacts connected to Dictator X, he departs for an isolated castle, promising to reveal everything upon his return.

But Leonardo never comes home. Determined to uncover the truth, Noah travels to the castle himself, only to become trapped alongside a group of strangers inside its walls. As a mysterious auctioneer draws the guests into a dangerous game, Noah must unravel hidden secrets, confront unsettling revelations, and discover the truth behind both his father's disappearance and the legend of Dictator X.
