Blue Whale - Japan’s National Museum of Nature and Science [Kaiyodo]

Japanese Original Edition, Brand New Figure

Inspired by the Blue Whale exhibit that serves as a symbol of Japan’s National Museum of Nature and Science, this Kaiyodo figure captures the animal in the moment it begins to dive beneath the surface.

Although famous as the world’s largest mammal, the blue whale has a surprisingly slender body, a distinctive head shape, and complex mottled markings across its skin—all carefully reproduced here as key sculptural highlights. Particular attention has also been given to the bright white undersides of the pectoral fins, adding another recognizable detail to the figure.
