From Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, Wing Gundam Zero joins the MGSD (MASTER GRADE SD) series in a special black-and-gray color scheme, combining MG-level engineering with compact SD proportions and newly introduced Structural Coating technology.

All exterior armor parts have been changed to black and gray molded colors, while the internal coated components shimmer through the gaps in the dark armor. The model introduces Structural Coating, a technique that gives the parts structural colors similar to those seen on soap bubbles, CDs, and insect wings, creating irregular rainbow-like reflections that shift depending on the viewing angle. Because of the special processing, each coated finish is unique.

The main wings use a five-layer structure with individually articulated sections to create a strong sense of volume. Deploying the wings reveals the internal Structural Coating-plated parts together with clear components featuring Reflection Cut treatment, adding further depth and visual detail to the wing assembly.

A parts-swapping mechanism also allows the model to recreate Neo Bird Mode. Both the exterior and internal frame feature dense MG-level detailing adapted to the MGSD format.
