From the official side story Mobile Suit Gundam 00P, the prototype mobile suit Gundam Astrea joins the Master Grade lineup in a highly detailed release packed with exclusive weaponry and customization options.

As the predecessor to the iconic Gundam Exia, Gundam Astrea faithfully recreates the distinctive design elements that would later evolve into Celestial Being’s legendary close-combat mobile suit. The differences between Astrea and Exia are carefully reproduced through color-separated molded parts and newly designed exterior details, accurately capturing the machine's unique identity. The chest, backpack, and GN Drive are also compatible with separately sold LED units, allowing builders to further enhance the display with illuminated effects.

Supervised by mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa, this release includes a newly sculpted Proto GN Twin Broadblade, created specifically for this MG kit. The weapon can be separated into two medium-sized swords and also combined with the included GN Long Blade and GN Short Blade to create an even more imposing arsenal. Exclusive MG-series connection gimmicks allow the weapons to be mounted directly onto the mobile suit, enabling dramatic and dynamic display poses.

In addition to the Proto GN Twin Broadblade, the kit includes an extensive selection of equipment such as the Proto GN Sword, Proto GN Launcher, GN Beam Rifle, and Proto GN Shield, offering a wide variety of combat configurations. The Master Grade internal structure and articulation system support impressive action poses that fully showcase Astrea’s versatility in battle.
