Captain Harlock (1978): Space Pirate Battleship Arcadia II 1/1500 - Plastic Model CW08 (Reissue) [Hasegawa]

Japanese Original Edition, Brand New Plastic Model 

The Arcadia from the TV anime Space Pirate Captain Harlock is recreated as a 1/1500 scale plastic model kit by Hasegawa, representing the second ship constructed in the Arcadia line.

The kit uses a parts breakdown designed to minimize visible seams, while the hull incorporates an internal support structure for reliable assembly and strength. The intricately detailed bridge is molded as a single piece using a slide mold, and the barrels of the triple-mounted Pulsar Cannon (main guns) are also hollowed using slide-mold technology.

Each of the three gun barrels can be independently raised and lowered, while the turret can rotate. The Space Buster rapid-fire cannon is also vertically adjustable, and the bow ram can be reproduced by swapping parts. The included display stand features a support designed after Tochiro’s grave marker, adding a distinctive touch to the display.

The planned molded colors are blue, dark blue, black, white, red, brown, and clear yellow, for a total of seven colors. As bonus parts, the kit includes two same-scale Cosmo Wings carrier aircraft, while decals are provided for the relief sculptures on the bow and stern castle. Package artwork is by Naoyuki Kato.
