From the long-running anime series Mobile Police Patlabor, the experimental prototype Labor Griffon by Shaft Enterprises joins threezero’s ROBO-DOU line in its Aqua Unit Equipped form as a 1/35 scale articulated figure.

ROBO-DOU Griffon Aqua Unit Equipped stands approximately 24.9 cm tall including the backpack and is made with ABS, PVC, POM, zinc alloy die-cast, and fabric parts. The zinc alloy die-cast is used in the movable frame, allowing for approximately 60 points of articulation throughout the body, while fabric covers on the elbows, waist, hips, and knees help preserve Griffon’s distinctive silhouette without restricting poseability.

This version replaces the flight unit backpack from the previously released standard Griffon with a newly sculpted Aqua Unit, while keeping the sleek gloss finish of the original release. Additional metallic paint has also been applied to the round details across the body, giving this variant a more refined mechanical look.

The figure includes several interactive features for enhanced display options. The upper chest section can lift up, the abdominal hatch can open forward, and the inner block can be removed to reveal the pilot seat, where the included non-articulated pilot figure of Bud Renard Harchand can be seated. The head and collar parts can also lift up to reveal the cockpit interior, while the large signature wings feature four articulation points on each side for a wide range of dynamic posing options. Even with the large backpack attached, the weight of the zinc alloy die-cast leg frame helps support stable display.
