From Ember: Obsidian Protocol, the Raid: Starter Set joins Kotobukiya’s lineup as a complete entry point for small-scale tactical encounters, including the miniatures, terrain, cards, tokens, rules, map, and dice required to begin playing.

Players take command on a battlefield of ancient ruins and choose between two distinct forces: the heavily armed RDL, built to overwhelm opponents through superior firepower, or the technologically advanced UN, which controls the field through coordinated armored units and drones. The set allows users to assemble two RDL armored units, one UN armored unit, three UN drones, and a range of terrain pieces.

Selected parts feature integrated magnets for quick attachment, removal, and equipment changes. This modular magnetic connection system allows units to be rapidly reconfigured without tools, supporting immediate tactical adjustments during play. The game’s Timing System is designed to combine fast turn progression with strategic positioning and battlefield control.

Tutorial and small-scale game rules are included, allowing the set to be played on its own. Standard games require additional models to build a 900-point force, as well as certain game cards available from the official website or separately sold game packs.
