From Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, the RX-79[G] Ground Type Gundam joins the HG model kit lineup in its memorable Parachute Pack Equipped Ver., recreating the configuration prominently featured in the series’ opening sequence.

The newly sculpted parachute pack faithfully reproduces the equipment used for high-altitude deployment, while the upper central block features a separate opening cover that allows the descent scene from the opening animation to be recreated. A newly molded GM Head based on the in-series design is also included, allowing the kit to be converted into the Ground Type Gundam [GM Head] seen in the story.

A wide selection of weapons is included, ranging from the weapon container and missile launcher to the rocket launcher, net gun, and 180 mm cannon. Combined with the kit’s broad articulation and various built-in gimmicks, the equipment supports dynamic poses inspired by scenes from the anime.
