From Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Dual Story G-Unit, the Gundam Aesculapius, newly designed by original mecha designer Junichi Akutsu, arrives in the latest HG format. Its signature transformation into Close Combat Mode is faithfully reproduced through a combination of movable gimmicks and interchangeable parts.

Built on the HG Gundam Geminass framework, the Aesculapius features all-new molding for its added armor and reinforced parts. The distinct head and chest antennas, as well as the newly sculpted shoulders and legs, are carefully designed with movable and transformation mechanisms. The shoulder binders can move for expressive posing, while the legs attach over the calves to complete the unit’s imposing silhouette.

The kit comes with a newly designed beam rifle and beam sword—the rifles can be mounted on the underside of the backpack, and the sword’s effect part is molded in clear orange for added impact. Transformation from High Mobility Mode to Close Combat Mode is achieved through movable binders, backpack adjustments, and a unique leg transformation gimmick that uses replacement parts around the knee. The python claws on the arms feature movable tips for open or closed display, and deploying the ankle guards dramatically alters the look of the Close Combat form.

With its versatile gimmicks, distinctive weapons, and faithful reproduction of Akutsu’s design, the Gundam Aesculapius makes its long-awaited debut in the HG lineup.
