The Gamera 1996 figure is a 20cm soft vinyl masterpiece sculpted by the legendary Yuji Sakai, originally released as a garage kit during the debut of Daiei's (now KADOKAWA) 1996 film, Gamera 2: Attack of Legion. This iconic creation made an enormous impact on fans at the time and remains a highly celebrated piece to this day. The original model was digitized using the latest 3D scanning method, CT scanning, and enlarged from the original size of 190mm to 320mm.  

Meticulously crafted by Sakai himself, the original prototype was based on extensive on-set research, flawlessly capturing the intricate details of the costume used during filming. Every nuance of Gamera's design was brought to life with remarkable precision.

Now, after 29 years, Kaiyodo's elite modeling team has revived this legendary work as a fully painted, finished product. Under Sakai’s full supervision, this updated version incorporates new materials and refined details, bringing even greater perfection to the original design.
