Evangelion Provisional Unit-05 from Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance joins the ARTPLA lineup!

This pose-locked plastic model kit recreates the dramatic activation sequence from the film’s opening, where Unit-05 engages in battle with the Third Angel at Bethania Base. Developed using a 3D scan of sculptor Akira Tani’s “drawing reference model”—the same master model used during production for animation reference and figure design—this kit delivers an authentic recreation of the Evangelion’s unique form.

To ensure a sharper look and easier assembly, the scale has been increased and details faithfully updated. Features such as the pantograph-equipped shoulder armor have been refined to match the original design drawings, resulting in a more precise finish.

The head unit and pseudo-reconstructed Spear of Longinus can be built in two styles: either the “in-movie model” or the “drawing reference model” seen during production. Molded in Unit-05’s distinctive gray-green image color, this kit captures the machine’s eerie, experimental presence with stunning accuracy.

A must-have addition for Evangelion fans and collectors of high-detail model kits.
