Everything about the Sony PS Vita is steeped in refinement. Looking rather disconcertingly like Sony's original PSP, the Playstation Vita is actually a strong mix of style and functionality. It's an evolution of Sony's first handheld, correcting many of its shortcomings, with its reinforced shell making it more shock-resistant without diminishing its sex appeal or making it too heavy. The menu interface has been significantly improved by Apple and the Wii, replacing the austere XMB of Sony's PS3/PSP with a more accessible information bubble, complete with application icons, swipeable windows, and a single control button.
